In 1969, one of the Random House Book of the Month Club offerings was Lewis Carroll’s classic Alice in Wonderland which contained gouache illustrations from surreal master Salvador Dalí. There were 12 heliogravures in all, one for each chapter, and the frontispiece was an original signed etching in 4 colors. William Bennett Gallery has digitized all of them and has presented the full collection online.
