BBBB ITES OF OOTS can be read as a visual, sculptural and performative search for an absurd in-between space between that which is flat, empty or full. In BBBB ITES OF OOTS a black rubber boot discovers, produces and questions its own grammar. It (RRRR)prints, (RRRR)peats, (RRRR)hearses, (RRRR)moves and (RRRR)boots. While faltering, stuttering and repeating, the BBBB or BOOT or OOT searches its way between letters, sounds, words and verbs for its own shape or body. By constantly repeating its own shape, an absurd feedback loop of sounds, movements and meanings is created. Between these BBBB ITES OF OOTS two parentheses ( ) move. ( ) zooms in and out and twists and turns. As a scenographic co-performer, ( ) animates both space, our looking and thinking.
