Manufactured by Schlage (the American lock company) the Handpunch uses biometric readings of employees’ right hands to inhibit false clock-ins and payment for false hours. Biometric recognition was developed to replace photography as a superior form of criminal indexing.

Etablissement d’en face is delighted to present Sì, a major exhibition, opening on June 22nd, dedicated to Margot Vanheusden, who passed away around the same time last year. Conceived as both a personal portrait and a celebration of her contribution as one of Etablissement’s key members for a period of over 20 years, the exhibition features an extensive list of artists with whom she collaborated or would have liked to collaborate — relationships which often evolved into close friendships. It takes its title from a word that is emblematic for Margot. Sì, both as an affirmation and expression of enthusiasm.

The works in the exhibition are shown alongside a selection of objects that she collected in the office of Etablissement d’en face and reflect her approach and personality.

Sì runs from June 22nd till September 8th, 2024 and is initiated by Miguel Wandschneider and put together in collaboration with Liska Brams, Nina Janssen, and Harald Thys. It spans all four floors of the Art Deco building housing Etablissement d’en face — another one of Margot’s discoveries.
